OUR HISTORY

Veritass was founded in 1990 by Alison Jenkins. The original office was based at her home in Sutton in Craven but relocated in 1998 to Main Street in Cross Hills.

2006 saw the acquisition of Wadsworth & Co Ltd, who had been trading for 30+ years, and this resulted in the addition of a further office in Oakworth. Alison Jenkins had been employed by Wadsworth’s way back in 1979, it was her first experience in the insurance industry.

Veritass now operates from the premises in Oakworth and maintains a broad client base spread across the UK including Scotland and Isle of Man. The acquirement of the life quotation comparison website www.lifedirect.co.uk in October 2008 supports Veritass in reaching clients across the UK.

A culture of providing exceptional customer service and a clearly defined policy of treating customers fairly has been prevalent throughout Veritass' history and will always remain at the centre of the company.
